where to find the saved ic location which we create
Hi @anishkapila02
In DCAClab, you can design IC’s and save it. Here’s a clear step-by-step guideline to you.
Step 1 — Open IC Creator
-
Click the IC button at the top (the one you circled).
-
This opens the IC Creator panel.
This is where you create, edit, and access saved ICs.
Step 2 — Design and Netlist Code Writing
Fill in the IC details:
-
IC Name (subckt) → e.g.
LM317A. -
Pins (Vertical / Horizontal) → define how many pins.
-
Add Description (optional).
-
Arrange pins on the IC preview.
Then click “Save Current IC” (green button at bottom)
Step 3 — Save your IC
-
Look at Saved ICs (left panel).
-
Your IC (e.g. LM317A) will appear in the list.
That means it is successfully stored in DCACLab.
Working with custom ICs in DCACLab may feel a bit different at first since it doesn’t use local files but once you get used to it, the workflow is actually simple and efficient. Your ICs stay organized inside the app, ready whenever you need them.
Keep going you’re on the right track, and this is exactly how real design tools start to make sense with practice. Best of luck ![]()
