Resistor

Resistors limit current and set voltages according to V = I × R, and they appear in most circuits on this page: as current limiters for LEDs, bias resistors for transistors, voltage dividers, and the networks students solve with series and parallel rules, nodal analysis or mesh analysis. Because the simulator reports the voltage across and the current through each part, a hand calculation can be checked against a measurement. For example, "Mesh Analysis" combines a battery, a supply and several resistors and uses a multimeter to confirm the loop currents.
